So I just picked up a couple of demos from this project and I am blown the fuck away. After literally one listen to each song the riffs seem to be permanently stuck in my head. I'll try to avoid my usual excessive praise and all that, but mother of fuck this stuff is incredible. I have no idea how I managed to miss out for so long.

This is my favorite track so far:

Does anyone know if this material will ever come out on a non-tape format? I imagine the all tape concept is the main reason this band is so overlooked.

Anyway Panphage kills. Discuss.

Nothing to discuss, great tapes! Like you pointed out, very memorable riffs.
Actually my most played stuff from those parts of sweden.

there's some elements of this that recall early Satyricon (of which I am enjoying) also some other typical swedish elements I enjoy a bit less. I suppose I am on the fence here... the classic nordic moments are cool though

One of the best current bands for me. Can play the demos back to back without getting sick of it. Strangely overlooked by many, the tapes probably are not limited enough.

I recall reading in an interview with Panphage somewhere (Womb zine I think?) that Aetergap will do a CD full length eventually.

For what I've heard, lots of promise. However, this is one of those projects that only seem to release demotapes after demotapes. I'm not too excited about tapes and only get the few must have releases that are simply not available in any other format. I'll be sure to check out an album should there be one. Pretty sure the demos will be compiled one day as well...

Cheers for starting this thread...I had never heard of Panphage, but that youtube song is fantastic! I'll definitely be trying to track down some of their demos.

And now the obligatory question: any US distros carry Panphage stuff?

I was actually in the process of trading/wholesaling from the label but then I had to move. I'll get back in touch with them.

I picked up Ursvol by accident a couple of years back in some random tape purchases. KILLER band, and I actually enjoy the fact that they only release cassettes. So damn good. A vinyl compilation would be most welcome.

Funny, I was listening to Panphage just a couple of hours before this thread got started. Awesome project, simply one of the best current BM acts.

The owner is also involved in:

Worth checking out.

For anyone looking I just got Aett Loka from Fog of the Apocalypse (Angeldust) for cheap. Pretty sure they have a few more copies.
