I'm a huge fan of both eras of the band, but Kenose is probably the ultimate DsO release for me.

Generally the entire black metal "underground" has an opinion on them, negative and positive, but one can definitely not deny the impact these guys have made on the genre as a whole.

I have attempted to play all these albums at once to unleash the ultimate evil. It has almost worked... ultimately it was very evil!

It shocked me into a coma almost a month long or so from the intensity that dropped me well past falling to ones knee's.

tough one for me. I'm not that much of a fan of SMRC and the later stuff (in fcat I think most of it plain sucks), so I'd actually go for infernal battles. really like their traditional approach there.
on the other hand, their mass grave aesthetics/diabolus absconditus compilation lp is so out-of-this-world, it's incredible. they really summoned pure fucking evil there.

MGA/DA for me.

Fas!

Paracletus, while at first revered by me as one of the best BM records ever, got old after a couple of hundreds of listening sessions. This hasnīt happened yet to Fas, Ite... - one of the few of those records where you discover something new with every listen.

Appendixes are also stellar (with an exception of Drought, which is one of the weakest DSOīs records)

This broad I know calls me up say once or twice a year to try and ...be friends?

Anyways she used to 'own' a rub and tug once upon a time, this we all know. Funnily enough she tries to tell me these days she makes some living off her artwork, which is most certainly not happening... I seen the 'art' before and if it were to be reeling in $1500 - $2000 a month to survive off I would fucking die of shock. Anyways this chick always goes out of her way to mention somehow she sells art, like she knows I know her unemployed ass suspects she is a rub and tug escort... but she is determined to convince me otherwise.

Anyways finger blasted her on the couch on molly last fall.

Should I make this a poll and should I call her over for my next 'bbq' again as she suggested?

Avantgarde BM by its nature is incoherent, DsO sound adding more incoherence with layers and fuzziness in an attempt to make it complex. At moments the amount of blended noises is unlistenable, most notable on Drought. Dissonant riffs which are the band's trademark are great but in this goulash of everything my ears can extract memorable sequences only in the doomy parts of Si Monumentum. works to pretty much for those that can stand BaN industrial sound, Abigor last album and other pompous, pretentious unnecessary albums.

/fixed to voice my opinion on this good at times yet overrated band

It's very important to determine which album is the 'best' around this forum apparently. This really needs to be known so minds can be set at ease or something I suppose.

It could have been Deathsock Omega vs NASA, or Deathsoap Omega vs De Glock or any number of choices, alas it is merely which album out of all their albums was YOUR favorite.

Guess until we all know we cannot move along onto something else.
