I've been listening a lot to Ozzy, Thin Lizzy, Badlands, Dokken and Sykes-era Whitesnake lately as well as stuff like Racer X, Vinnie Moore, Steve Stevens, Becker, Batten and Shawn Lane. Any recommendations?

Blaze (Japan) ..... not always 'shredding' leads, but tons and tons of great leads on top of great hard rock/metal songs. |

Well I don't know about shred, but since you mentioned stuff like Whitesnake I must mention a gem of an album that was evidently played with guitars on fire. Imagine Slip Of The Tongue, but multiply heaviness and string fanciness by four or five.

Don't really know that much about the band, but this is a great song with great guitar-work.
And of course if you like Dokken, check first 2 Lynch Mob-albums too. |

I think there should be a thread made for hard rock and AOR. Modify this one and you shall be rewarded! _________________ §:-«l |

Oh yeah and don't forget Helstar, Lazz Rockit ( Cities gonna burn and no stranger to danger), Leatherwolf. ALso heavy metal with virtuoso guitar playing. You may also like Cities and Chastain, another one is Shok Paris. Can't forget the first albums from Vicous Rumors wich has Vinnie Moore shredder supreme on them. He also has solo albums you would like. All Jag Panzer sounds up your alley as well. _________________ "It was the best of time it was the blurst of times."
