Into Glory Ride is the most consistently good I think, but the first 4 albums are all great to be honest.

Kings of Metal!
Will always enjoy this album, the rest of their discography not so familiar with nor about to invest into changing that either. The one album is enough, and it's a great album too Laughing

I encourage you to give Hail To England a listen. It's generally considered their magnum opus, and Jack Richardson's production is fucking unreal.

Magnum opus for me is ''Into Glory Ride''.

Nothing can be compared with that.

The epitome of barbaric epic metal.

Personally, 1.''Into Glory Ride'', 2.Battle Hymns 3.Sign of the Hammer 4.Hail to England

All are masterpieces.

Hail to England all the way...though everything through Sign of the Hammer (and part of Fighting the World) kicks ass. If you like Viking era Bathory but think you are too good for Manowar, you are wrong.

the poll misses the option of "manowar live when they were good".

only bought "hail to england", but I went to see them several times. not recently though. great traditionl metal and comedy.

"But we would find the sweet spot, where the Marshall was humming. We didn't have it on ten because really, the Marshalls don't work that way the best, they just flat line. But if you back everything off and let it purr, then that is when it sounds the best."

Wait, but I thought all men play on 10??

Isn't Manowar basically a small cult act in the states?

I saw them tour with Immortal in Kansas City 15 years ago or so. They got so pissed off that "only" 50 people showed up (maybe less) that they were loudly bitching about it backstage, they didn't even put their leather on, and only played like a 30 minute set before fucking off.

They're lucky that they found fifty people in KC that had nothing better to do on a night then watch total homoeroticism without the payoff, then again they were probably there for Immortal anyway

Yeah, it was a weird tour to have in the first place...and I am probably exaggerating when I say 50. But a buddy's girlfriend was backstage and I guess Manowar were doing nothing but bitching about the turnout and complaining about how "it wasn't right because we play to thousands in Europe" or something like that. Pretty lame move to cut your set in half because not enough people showed up. Only around 12 people showed up to the Zemial show in KC last week, and Vorskaath still jumped out of his van after driving all day and played an extended set.
