anyone have horror stories? I'm dealing with a seller who took 2 weeks to finallly bring my package to the shipper. And now it has been stuck in customs for about 30 days. Something tells me he sent this package with no intention that it would ever reach me. Am I just crazy?

It's normal it's stuck at customs for a long time if it comes from Colombia.

From my experience it always took ages to arrive from over there and tracking never updates again once it hits customs. Do they still have to include passport copies with the shipments? It was kinda funny getting a record including some colombian fella xeroxed on a paper insert. I think left one of those in my Blasfemia 12" just for the fun of it.

I was wondering the same actually Smile

Ordering from South America may take time, or less time, and all of that for reasons we'll probably never be able to decrypt Very Happy

He obviously thought you were making a joke. Of course customs will open every parcel from Colombia-- to check how much cocaine is in there!

Not necessarily open it, but they get special attention. There's a 100% check in the US on anything from The Netherlands too. Last three times I got something from Colombia it took very long as well, after it entered the country according to the tracking info.

No, I've just received the package from Colombia few days ago (5 cassettes) and there wasn't that xerox crap with passport/ID card of sender included.
Maybe it is mandatory only for packages over 2 kilograms.
