Listening now. Seems pretty good so far. No idea this was coming out.

It's only on Spotify right now for free streaming as far as I know. It's quite good. Obviously they'll never match or top Endless Skies, but it's much better than the second album.

It's not as good as Endless Skies and it doesn't have any truly mighty tracks like "Vengeance", but it was a very nice listen. I've hit it only a couple of times so I'll need a few more before I can give proper judgment. Definitely worth checking out if you liked Endless Skies though!

This band and others like them are to my ears a fag out for aging Metalheads. Nothing to do with the genre, more like The Eagles combined with the worst Wishbone Ash material. Not metal.

Enjoy it if you will but don't try and tell me I'm missing out on some great HM.

This is true though I do feel the relevance of bands like Ashbury or Winterhawk at times. Something Funny Going On was complete shit to my ears though.

I've never heard anyone argue that they are a metal band. That's quite the flimsy straw man you've erected there.

Say that out loud @ keep it true and see how far ya get. Young and old alike signing every word. No one, the brothers included, ever said they were metal or "trying to be" metal at all. They don't even understand the crossover popularity themselves... "fagging out" aside this is one hell of a band on record and live. Why does it have to be "metal" to like it?

Because only metal is good and everything else is false.

But seriously, I'm not sure how anyone could possibly think Ashbury doesn't have any similarities with heavy metal music and the appeal should be obvious to anyone who isn't trying too hard.

What faggot thinks Ashbury is metal and what sort of faggot cares what genre they listen to, if they just like the music they're hearing?

Damn, some guys just need to take a chill pill and leave that teenager attitude to the door Laughing

Just listened to one of the new songs. I definitely want to get this one on cd.

Btw, if you canít hear the pure essence of heavy metal flowing through these guys veins, itís you that doesnít understand it, not everyone else.

Guys that only listen to extreme metal are the worst.
