Since we have threads about shit bands like Manowar. Why not a thread about two of the most intense thrash bands around? Sadus released four quality albums of absolutely devastating technical thrash metal, and Dark Angel's likewise released four albums (and according to rumor demo material for a 5th) before fizzling out. Which band do you think is superior, and which band do you think will live longer in underground lore? _________________

Is this the soundtrack of The Emoji Movie? Seems fitting as both are cancer incarnate. |

I prefer Sadus. "Chemical Exposure" is just totally savage. Not familiar with the whole discography of both bands though... |

Chemical exposure sucks.
Illusions, on the other hand, rules.
Seriously, Sadus never had a Darkness Descends, so there's no competition for me... _________________ Into the Menstrual Night We Go-o, Hey-Ho, Hey-Ho...

Sadus because of Illusions. Darkness Descends is good album for sure but doesn't get on the same line. _________________ Heavy Metal Nuts

Chemical Exposure is one of the best Thrash albums ever made. If not the best. Dark Angel is great as well but the choice was pretty easy.
If the poll would have been Sadus vs Demolition Hammer, then it would have been harder to choose. |

Dark Angel's first two releases alone put them atop almost all thrash bands from the 80's. _________________ ----------------

Darkness Descends is the best album between the two, so I'd have to give the nod to Dark Angel.
Though I love Chemical Exposure as well, so it's not by a lot that I'd pick Dark Angel. _________________ If you are a false don't marry! Girlfriend is ok but only destructing anus from behind!!! - Fat Dagon

Illusions is a killer record from start to finish, but DD still has just more to it IMO. That's one of the all time greats. I preferred the Sadus demos to the first record, maybe just because the vocals sounded a lot rawer.
Would have liked to had been at this show

"Darkness Descends" is the best album by either band, but Sadus has the overall better discography, even with "Out for Blood" weighing it down. So it's a coin flip.
Also, am I the only one that prefers "Swallowed in Black" to the debut? Yes, "Illusions" (or whatever you wanna call it) is more vicious, but "Swallowed" is a near-perfect blend of vicious, amazingly fast, and technical in a way that doesn't detract from the experience. _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |
