Sorry if this has been asked a zillion times, but I figured one of you goats would probably know. I read something about the original CDs have a barcode on the back.

Mine has a barcode with 1994 DSP/Voices Of Wonder(under exclusive license to Century Media Records) on the back.

The CD Blooklet is two pages with photos of Euronymous and Helhammer the inside and back cover.

Cheers.

If there is a barcode, and no lyrics in the booklet - It's original.

It's not original. It's the US press which came a while after even VOW repressed it again.

don't you mean, "If there is NO barcode..." ?
from memory all the DSP releases have no barcodes.

This isn't a bootleg, if that's what you're asking, but it's certainly not the first press.

Mine has a SPV-barcode on the back, it also has lyrics on the booklet. On the booklet, the page including the recording info and mentioning about Voices of Wonders worldwide distribution, there's a text mentioning the coverdesign page 3-10 by Jorgen "Sjulak" Lid Widing. I don't know or care what pressing it is, but in case someone else cares...

EDIT - No mention of Century Media or Century Black either and the text on the booklet clearly indicates, Dead got nothing to do with the inner artwork. I checked Discogs and the barcode is from DSP/SPV-version, matrix is from DSP/WoV-version, the castle is purple, quite strange. I got bought this from the store as new long time ago, at that point they always kept cd's in different places than the covers, so maybe they got the disc of other version, who knows...

Mine is a 2 page booklet only and has no such info.
Also the back of the CD has the same design with the 2 pics of Euro and Hellhammer and the tracklisting as the page of the booklet. Only difference is the booklet has dark purple lettering and the backside has a light purple colour...

Just want add more confusion Laughing

Check the matrix code on the inner circle (pun intended) of the data side of the disc, it should say DURECO [01] ANTIMOSH 06 if I'm not mistaken. Recently got rid of my copy so I can't check.
