Thing is that Germany has a lot of couriers (DHL, GLS, Hermes, DPD etc) besides the national postal services. And with these couriers you can choose from different services, like priority, normal, economy etc. Some are really fast and others are slow as fuck.

I live in Holland and sometimes it takes two days (Iron Bonehead, WTC, Eisenwald) while others are a week or longer..

That might explain.

One issue in addition could be that Deutsche Post was mostly on strike last month and maybe they still are (just can't find any information on this)

Just looked this up. Apparently the strike is still happening...and in Frankfurt, where the international hub is! Explains a lot...

And, yes, I will definitely start registering all of my international parcels now even though I've never had a problem before!

Complete rubbish. There where days in certain areas where strikes have been (read carefully!). I have got post nearly everyday in the past weeks from the normal service, so this is just not true. Confused

Maybe once every couple years I'll have a long delay for a package from Germany. It's just weird that it never happens to anything I order from places like Amor Fati or Iron Bonehead. Perhaps it's all about being organized or something.

Currently been waiting for 1.5 months for a tape that should have gotten here in about 10 days. But then again I'm pretty sure I just got ripped off and it has nothing to do with postal workers.

As I said, it COULD be. I know that this strike was just in a few areas. But the last few weeks there was nearly nothing in my mailbox and I am waiting for some stuff to arrive which should have been arrived earlier

Na dann... If something does not arrive it may has got a much more simple reason - it was not sent immediately. Rolling Eyes

Damn all, I have a pack coming from Germany that absolutely NEEDS to arrive, reading this thread does not ease my mood.

Since the last US/UK postage fees increase, I've been ordering almost exclusively from Germany :/ Sure, sometimes it takes up to a month, but it's by far one of the most reliable in my experience. Registering is not that expensive either.

Things are taking a long time from Germany right now. Have many wholesale parcels which have been in transit for 3+ weeks now and still don't seem to be in the USA yet.

I just got a package from Dying Victims (Germany to Canada) that took maybe a week, but he used DHL from there first.
