Really great album, far more interesting than anything Xasthur did after the actual album Nocturnal Poisoning. Sounds a LOT like John Fahey at times.

I loved the moment in that One Man Metal doc where he cracked a smile when his cat came in the room...even Malefic loves kitties. I've mostly lost interest in Xasthur (not bothered with the last 3 or 4 albums) but A Gate... still gets a spin every once in a while. Great demo.
