If you can't make up your mind on this track you're a disingenuous metalhead worrying about scene points. I like it and will buy the vinyl diehard w/ scalpel set.

I'm afraid to listen. My opinion of them was already tainted by the Swan Song album.

Sounds more like the album that could have been between Heartwork and Swansong. Decent song, though.

With any re-union I always expect the worst and hope for the best. My opinion of the band is same as yours. I don't want to judge the whole album by one song but I have a feeling this will be filled with 'catchy' sing-alongs. The only re-union that didn't disappoint me so far is Testament (musically speaking of course).

I don't believe Testament ever broke up, so they never reunited.

Pretty average. I'd rather have another Death n Roll record really, at least it would be closer to their actual interest during the last 17 years or so.

This new song basically sounds like something done by one of those 2nd-tier bands in their early 30's, signed to Century Media and having to play 150+ gigs per year just to barely make a living.

The song kind of sounded to me like some new Carcass clone on Razorback or Relapse, so it's automatically better than Swansong. Then again, I have a deep rooted hatred of "death n roll". Ok for what it is, but I'm not going to buy the album or anything.

Is the scalpel so fans can slit their wrists after listening? Just a thought.

Sadly I think Exhumed's Anatomy is Destiny does a better job at what Carcass should sound like compared to this song. Too early to tell but usually one song can sum up the entire album for me.

The new song is awful. Not a big surprise really. Overly technical melodeath garbage with nonsensical flashy riffing and no fucking soul. I'm sure fans of Children of Bodom will enjoy this.

Pros:

- The galloping riff is cool. Would be pretty cool in a Megadeth song, too bad it's in here.
- The vocals are good.

Cons:

- The song is literally thrown together from entirely disparate elements.
- Lego drums.
- Out of place shredding.

All in all, completely pointless and confused walmart metal.
