2 incredible releases to date. One of the best bands hands down.

Love both of their albums. Sometimes the latest one overstays its welcome a bit, but they always have lots of really interesting, inventive parts. I'm especially fond of "A Church in Ruin" and the first half of Stained Glass Revelations. That echoey surf sound they've developed really sounds like they're playing in some ancient, vast cathedral.

Loved it live and would see them again in a heartbeat but the albums just won't click for me.

Great band! Both albums rule, though it took me a while to get into them.

Like both albums. Stained glass revelations is great, but I think Et in saecula saeculorum is much more memorable, mostly because of the less complex song structures.

10/10 live, 6/10 on album. For some reason I don't think they translate as well on recordings, but goddamn are they great live.

I would definitely rate Et In Saecula Saeculorum higher than 6/10. What a vile, sporadic, slithering serpent of an album. Need new stuff now.

Certainly. Both albums are amongs the best of current US black metal.

*re: Et In Saecula Saeculorum

Can someone describe the difference in sound between the Anja release and the re-issue?

This band is greatly overrated. The first album was mediocre at best and their last album was just fucking awful.

Bullshit.

One of the few active Black Metal bands actually doing something interesting, but of course, some kids shit on that.

Agree 100%. They are not by any means overrated. They create a mystique and a sound that is hard to deny.
