LP or CD? I know a distro in the UK which is carrying plenty of copies of the original CD. Also, does anybody know where I can buy the reissued LP of this for a reasonable price (no more than 20).

Are you kidding me Confused

I did the opposite transaction, the ADP version sounds WAY better than the BoB version for one.

The Blood Music Maudlin of the Well and Strapping Young Lad reissues are stellar. The mastering job on the records is incredible, all the details are so much more audible than on the originals. Not to mention, they're all beautifully presented. Basically, they don't suck because the attention to detail and care over the product is second to none. The Southern Lord 2012 reissue of Dopesmoker is also great. I really like the new art, and the bass tone on the vinyl is to die for.

Edit: Not even remotely NWN (I guess SYL/motW isn't either though) but the Hydra Head reissue of Botch- We Are the Romans is also brilliant. Possibly the best sounding record I own.

Thoughts on the alternative mix?

Those 2CD reissues were good.

and looks better - the BoB version is a half-assed piece of crap (I assume you mean the first BoB reissue on red vinyl)

This can be said about anything they've released. I only own a few records on BoB because there's no affordable alternative on vinyl. But when I get the chance, I'll replace them all instantly.

I have the Belus and Absu vinyls from BoB - they're ok, but their old norwegian BM reissues suck ass

Looks like all The Ruins of Beverast albums have been pressed again, by looking at the Van Records site and seeing a offering of them with a slightly updated/changed cover art depicting the album.

These would rank highly on the Non-Suck side I would comfortably say.

The HLTO and Filosofem reissues I own are basically pointless in my eyes - I only got them cause the originals cost like a million pounds. I was happy with the CDs already!
