We were actually going for the singer in Right Said Fred, if any of the oldtimers remember them haha!

I had this old Aurora kit as a kid (anyone remember those?) and slapped it together in about about 5 min. I think his job may be slightly better than mine. His canvas (or whatever he paints on) style even shows through on plastic!

Depends ... Ed has started re-using elements from cover to cover, mainly for backgrounds and I guess has an image bank with stuff such as buildings, pieces of sky, smoke etc. that he re-uses to not start from scratch every single time. Im not a fan of this approach even though his work still rules, but thats apparently how he works nowadays. Normally $1000 and up ... completely custom artwork cost quite a bit more Im told.

That's interesting. So is he working digitally now, or kind of a mix?

A mix. He does all the sketches oldschool and still draws the main characters etc. but colours are added digitally and a lot of effects like smoke etc, also!
