Cvlt Nation actually released a few very good mixes for this style of music.

I really like that first soft kill lp. There is a second one that come out early this year that I didnt even hear about. Seems like the guy is a notorious rip off though and no labels want to work with him to put it out properly, so it's only available as a download I think.

Not 100% on track, but am i the only person who thinks that Atomizer - Caustic Music for the Spiritually Bankrupt is worth a mention here?

I get a goth vibe from this album.

Huummm... Sixx ?

Sixx is pretty useless what comes to those bands who really knew what they were doing. Nobody denies it's curiosity value but still...

Eat Your Make-Up is pretty good. Basically pure Only Theatre of Pain worship, but that's fine with me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn2CbJ6R1N0

Party Day is some pretty obscure UK goth/post-punk that seems more deathrock-like to me than most goth rock bands who also get tagged as 'post-punk': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s0CxDB6o_8

Musta Paraati is an absolute favorite of mine; awesome mix of goth overtones with post-punk songwriting. Finnish, with Finnish lyrics, and just all around great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXIaNCMlpRI

The Dark, particularly Masque. Best song I've ever heard under that genre. The rest is early 80's sounding UK punk, but that track is stellar.

Is there anything else which sounds similar to Only Theatre of Pain-era Christian Death?

that's an album that can't be matched, Rozz Williams voice + Rikk Agnew guitar style are just unique, you either check Christian Death until 1985 and Rikk Agnew's work on Adolescents first Lp (you'll love "Kids of the black hole") and on his first solo album, or you'll get something that is just too different

That Part One album. Maybe "Cacophony" by Rudimentary Peni kinda counts.

A lot of good recommendations in this thread.

A few lesser known items of quality:

Corpus Delicti http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjv6IWqTiJ0
Pink Turns Blue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqCy29-DDm8
End of Data http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XsQ0fgTToM

Also, I know it was mentioned earlier, but if you haven't heard "Pornography" by the Cure, you really should do so immediately:

There's also The Damned:

I'd like to mention T.S.O.L.'s Dance With Me here. Flawless album.

More New Wave than Goth Rock and I normally can't stand female vocals at all, but still I really recommend this album (the debut is not so good):

Was turned on to the band Lowlife a few months ago. Absolutely amazing. Can't believe more people aren't into this band. Check out the Permanent Sleep album.
