hoping maybe you guys can shed some light on this.

I keep my records in good temp, not much humidity at all etc. But I was looking at the record spinning tonight and on the turntable it seems to be "warped" in that one side seems to rise a bit, but then I looked at the table at the record store I work in and it was the same thing.

So I guess my question is, is it just something with the turntable that allows it to play the record?

alot of records tend to be that way. just the fact that the arm can move up and down allows it to still play the record. plus usually when the vinyl is warped like that its a gradual rise so the needle doesnt just jump up

hm, so all these records are warped? it's just bizarre because when i take the record off it doesn't seem like theres any warping, not even a little.

is the platter sitting off balance? I've got an old belt drive AR, have to change the belt when I change speeds, and sometimes the platter rests a little bit off kilter....
