Great thread.

I was looking for the video game thread since I recently bought a lovely laptop with enough balls to play recent games properly so I started with BIOSHOCK which is fantastic.
I just started DISHONORED and it's extremely promising.

So I'll definitely get the first AMNESIA. I was actually looking for games like this. I have already OUTLAST ready to be played just after I've finished DISHONORED.
Then more br00tal shits like RAGE, DEAD ISLAND and LEFT 4 DEAD.
Then I'll go back to Rapture and play BIOSHOCK 2.

But really the atmosphere of AMNESIA seems hella sweet!

"A Machine for Pigs" is a fucking disappointment ! Boring, no danger, visiting endless hallways without any atmosphere...

Asmael : I hope you'll have a fun time with Dishonored. I love that game.

Bioshock is really great. Immersive like few games I've experienced.

@InSolitude: indeed. Such a memorable scenery. How many would the player just stop and behold the surroundings. A thoroughly immersive realm with its own unmistakable aesthetics. A genuine Masterpiece.

Particularly loved the "Fort Frolic" part. Totally deranged and at the very end of that stage the "white figures" moving stealthily was really spooky. Dont know if you remember that.

@Närxhen: i sure will, I'm already totally into it and have just escaped the prison (total stealth, no kill no alarm. I'll try to go full stealth as long as possible)
The faces are amazing, the details of the skins are impressive.

Too bad Amnesia's AMFP is disppointing. I'll try the DD one

Excited to try Outlast in the near future here. I've been looking for something to match what Amnesia did for me on the first play-through. I've heard pretty much nothing but praise for it around the web so expectations are high.

Ha ! Good luck then. I'm trying to finish the game two more times in the maximum level of difficulty : The first one in full stealth (that's ok, not that hard when you know the game), the second time i'm trying to kill everyone and that's really harder...the enemies hit to hard !

I thought A Machine for Pigs was a little disappointing, despite a few decent moments. That said I'm fairly certain it wasn't actually developed by the same crowd that did The Dark Descent. This one on the other hand -> http://www.somagame.com/ is. Can't wait. Getting a more Alien-like horror vibe from that.

Yeah AMFP was a total turn-off. I actually had to stop playing it since it was so shitty... It really can be seen that the dark descent group didn't make AMFP. Maybe I should still finish the project of completing that, since it's already paid, hahah.

And yes, I also can't wait for SOMA!! That seems so intriguing.

Soma looks promising. And this even more. Alien game where you play as Ripley's daughter against a single Xenomorph on a derelict ship. It could be awsome.
