Thy Kingdom Come 7" featured songs off of the demo, bit I guess this is not what you are looking for.

there were a lot of bootlegs of earache (and other) bands going round who have not surfaced on Discogs etc. I was never much into bootlegs so I can only talk from a weak memory:

- Carcass
- Bolt Thrower
- Napalm Death
- Death
(...)

most were live recordings, but I'm sure there were some with demo and rehearsal material on it. maybe also something from Morbid Angel. you'd have to look around.

There are probably tons more, but you get the idea. Looks like a few are just using the same material.

I remember having seen the "blasphemy" boot and the "decline of rome" boot! I had two death bootlegs "live in Horst '89" and another one which I traded for an original Morbid Angel "Thy Kingdom Come" 7". I was never too fond of these bootlegs but now I wish I would have bought them haha!

are you looking to buy or to trade? I have one of those weak moments where I'm just getting fed up with shifting all my vinyl around realizing I will never live long enough to listen to them again, so I'm thinking about flogging the lot. no trades.

well I may be your man Wink Yes, just interested in buying. I sold about 80% of my collection some years ago, all the dead weight/listen to every now and again/never listen to stuff is gone. Liberated.

I usually don't buy bootlegs, but a well done demo/7"/reh comp is something I'd be interested in. I wonder how come they never thought about making it an official release.

here's the story from one of the OTD guys regarding Morbid Angel. Technically, "Abominations" is a demo - depending from which point you look at it:

Quote:
...I tripped through the USA in summer of 86, I met a lot of bands and people. One of the bands we came in contact with was a group everybody was talking about in Florida: MORBID ANGEL. I don’t remember how it went, but we were invited to see them play a private gig for the three of us in their rehearsal space (which was actually a house, somewhere in southern Florida). This took place immediately after they had recorded what was at the time supposed to be their debut LP, but didn’t see the light of day until years later (“Abominations of Desolation” – the band’s later bassist David Vincent originally planned to release this on his “label”, along with the also never-released debut 12″ by MASSACRE). We were quite impressed, especially by the bands original drummer who was also the singer. After we went home, I stayed in touch with Trey who is actually a very nice and gentle bloke. He kept sending me rehearsal- and demotapes of MORBID ANGEL and when the three track demo “Thy Kingdom come” came out, he asked me how I felt about releasing two of the three songs on a 7″. That’s how the first MORBID ANGEL record came about to be a super limited release – ca. 680 copies (numbered throughout 666, ca. 100 on white vinyl and a dozen on grey vinyl).
