Autopsy and Ulcerate released killer albums. I haven't heard the 2013 albums from both Grave Miasma and Irkallian Oracle.

Surgical Steel from Carcass is a decent release but it's not that killer, I found the latest Gorguts album a little boring and had no idea that Exhumed released a new album as well.

Irkallian Oracle is indeed the best discovery of 2013. Best demo in a looooooong time. However I cannot classify them as "death metal"

GRAVE UPHEAVAL will also be one of the highlight of 2013. But then again not stricly Death Metal.

High hopes for SWALLOWED.

And if there is Teitanblood in the game, well it's over for all the others

Bölzer's Aura has dominated the death metal side of my listenings this year... Absolutely amazing.

The new Exhumed is an orgy of riffs. Gorguts needs a little more time to gestate.

Logos is on top, definitely, although that MAY change when Omen Ex Simulacra comes out.

Other releases I have enjoyed:
Ulcerate - Vermis
Gorguts - Colored Sands
Prosanctus Inferi - Noctambulous Jaws Within Sempiternal Night
Vasaeleth - All Uproarious Darkness

Also, am I the only one that thinks Irkallian Oracle is overhyped? I mean, Grave Ekstasis is solid death metal, but there's nothing particularly groundbreaking about it, so it escapes my mind why it gets so much praise.

Bölzer without question.

Drowned's 2012 rehearsal tape was great too. Tribulation's newest wasn't bad, I enjoyed it.

I've yet to hear Beyond's effort. Just got the CD in from NWN! this week. Will be spinning it tomorrow, no doubt.

not many (if any) things listed are "bestial", but maybe try Beyond. Definitely riffy, and definitely great!

Well since there's mention of tbr stuff, I'm gonna say the Doombringer debut will be in the list in hoping that it gets out this year.
