Yes, the album will be released on vinyl at some point. |

Listened to this album today, it is great.
What it does remind me of a lot though is new Deathspell Omega. I believe there are some strong similarities. Recommended for those into said band at any rate. |

I listened to the full album a 1-2 days ago and I thought it ended up dragging some. There are some good riffs in there, but I feel like cutting out some filler could improve the intensity of the album. The actual riff quality is of course far below Deathspell Omega level, but they're good, which is something that cannot be said of a lot of the current trendy orthodox BM bands. |

Dissonant chords/riffs doesn't equal DSO to me. This band lacks the "experimental/avantgarde" elements that DSO sometimes has in their music (not to say that's a bad thing, just citing differences between the two). I listened to the full album on Youtube and it's a really impressive debut. Ferocious album with balls. "Ars Moriendi" contains some really killer riffs (5:36-37 - Holy shit!)... one of my top BM albums of 2013 for sure. I'm going to order this sometime during the week. |

I agree that it does drag a bit here and there. The first track is a good example. Absolutely brilliant for the first five minutes or so, but ends up meandering around in a very anticlimactic way.
The band has real potential though. Much more interesting riffage than what I usually expect from this niche. |

Been listening to this album for the past weak or so and I have to agree. Sure there are definitely some moments that do remind, but to me, they were mainly the 'clean' dissonant moments, rather than the majority of the riffs, which were much more 'normal' ,although still very good and interesting.
In general, there is a lot more space left to breathe compared to some of DsO's riffing..
Anyway, I like it. Good album. _________________ http://portentuk.bandcamp.com/ |

Looks good, cover art like that needs to be on a vinyl format sizing. |
