I agree, I think Necros Christos works better in small doses. All the songs on the album start up the same, all the solos are usually just harmonies off the main riffs. Its cool but to me I prefer eps and splits instead of full lengths from the band. I still respect them for the amazing sound and atmosphere they give. Just the material drags on after a while...

That's what I think about them. Very small doses. (Split 7"EP doses e.g.)

I hope all you Guys will change your opinion when "Doom of the Occult" is out next year!

I am already a neophyte to the cultus of Necros Christos... great things cast their shadows already it seems. Smile

One of the bands I fail to get is Watain.
I mean their concept speaks for itself, the artwork is brilliant but the rest...? For me there is nothing to go apeshit over them.

Deathspell Omega is another one - I take it that most here worship the old material whereas I think that their new incarnation cremates their previous efforts to dust easily.

Well, you know what I think about NC, but yr two other examples are prime indeed. Bands that gives me not a thing. Pure boredome, and that I get nuff of besides music.

I agree there too! But I think the earliest Watain records are OK.

Sure, at the end of the day there are many opinions and we are all assholes... or something like that... ^^

My NC comment was directed at what Raelin wrote to make that clear.

I like my metal to be complicated sometimes.

True, I heard some bits and those were quite ok indeed... but the rest leaves me cold. I still have to smile at the indignant reaction my opinion caused with some people at last years Party San , hehe.

Metal must be raw and simple, 70ies (Kraut)Rock, Psych, etc is good when complicated for me.
