Some riffs maybe, but drums are too brutal and production too modern to sound as early Gorgoroth, unfortunatelly.

being italian, I'd suggest [besides the well-know ones: Death SS and even Paul Chain in some way, aside (and you can't actually talk about black metal in both cases), early Bulldozer, early Necrodeath/Ghostrider, Necromass, early Opera IX, Funeral Oration] the following (I apologize if some names were already told):

in the (late) 80's:
Black Prophecies (with Ingo, bach then Necrodeath vocalist, playing bass)
Angel Death first demo (raw and chaotic proto-bm to say the truth!)
Sagatrakavashen (total face painting in 1988!!!!)
Monumentum (not strictly black metal, but....)

in the 90's:
Handful Of Hate (really no one mentioned them??)
Brisen (demo and album were quite good)
Inchiuvatu (black metal meets Franco & Ciccio -two sicilian actors of the past)
Hastur (good 7" in 1997)
Profanatum (death/black with classical elements, but really original stuff played by their leader Ghiulz, classical musician and music teacher and now second guitar for the mighty Bulldozer)
Absu (yeah we had our Absu, eheh! which became Void Of Naxir (original bm)
Deflorator (crossover between early black metal and u,k. crustcore)

I didn't follow the national scene from the end of the 90's so I have to stop here Very Happy

Does anyone here know anything about this band? I have the first two demos, Ata Ita and Klanta, but it seems like the rest of the material is impossible to find, despite a few tracks from the full length being on youtube.

Listen what a black metal thrashing carnage these very young guys from centre Italy have spawned! Only amateur live videos from Youtube unfortunatelly (but quite understandable).
Just 15 years old, power duo & no effects on the bestial vocals.

Still trying too hard to beat Kvarforth at his own game?

This sounds a little contradictory, I find it hard to believe that these guys would be in favour Kvarforth's faggotry. Can you elaborate on this?

yes, they're the epitome of contradiction. sing about nationalism and honor, then snort cocaine and do those tipe of "shows" on stage (homosexual make out).

What show and which character are you referring to in particular ?

I'm not to well versed in the kult bands from Italy but I've always dug Ephel Duath. Jazzy, avant garde black metal. Is it jazz? Is it black metal? I don't know But it's Italian at least Smile

Great band. The CD reissue was very unfortunate looking though.

There are few Italian bands which I love: Mortuary Drape, Altar of Perversion, Evol (demos), Aborym...

By checking Metal Archives, I found a band I had almost forgotten:
Burn The Crucifix:
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Burn_the_Crucifix/37834

I found only 1 song on youtube (instrumental reh):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U1Dlb1DlHQ

It's not really a great track, but it belongs to the Italian B.M. scene from early 90ies. I don't really remember but I think I had their 2nd demo (and maybe some "Tem Ohp Ab" material), and so I can't remember
if it was better than this reh on youtube.

By the way, I'm still looking for "Antichristian Nuclear Sabbath" from Aborym... I had asked in "uploads/request" without success, maybe I'll be more lucky with this thread Question

Sounds like Italian answer to Volahn. But even better. Fine complicated music.
