That is actually the only thing i don't enjoy about Hell Awaits. I think it's pretty pointless, and annoying.

Show No Mercy by (100) mile

I think Hell Awaits was one of the worse pinnacle of the band.

Show No Mercy is my alltime favorite metal album. Second to none. Filled to the brink with killer riffs. The tempo changes are so fluent it's almost out of this world. As close to perfection as a musical work can come.

Hell Awaits just never grabbed me and I always wanted it to. The riffs feel like they don't go anywhere, unlike Show No Mercy.

I prefer SNM though believe HA is more important in the development of extreme metal.

Show No Mercy

I just remembered something. It was either Slayer a couple years later, or maybe some reviews I read when the album was released, that said "Kill Again" was the worst song on Hell Awaits, but that's always been my favorite from it.
