Anybody else order one of these? Anyone get theirs yet? I missed the die hard version (fuck!) but managed to snag a regular one today.

I think some people were talking about it in the recent vinyl scores thread. I'm not a fan of those bands. I'm not sure why people go ape shit for them. Maybe I need to check out the right stuff because the stuff I've heard was not memorable.

What have you heard? I know you tend to stay away from the fun stuff, so steer clear of the 2nd RB full length. You'd probably like In The Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend though.

As far as Electric Wizard, Dopethrone is absolutely 100% totally essential in my eyes.

I really like Reverend Bizarre. Great, crushing band that to me is just so innately metal. I've never really been into Electric Wizard at all though.

I can listen to Rainbow rising while driving in my car. Fun is okay as long as it's not fake.

Look for the Interpunk thread.

I want it for Electric Wizard. I actually don't like Reverend Bizarre at all.

Fair enough. With that said, my fav. RB is actually II:Crush The Insects. Totally fun sounding music with totally morbid lyrics. But it's a fucking great record. It has a few slow crushing songs as well...but a lot of fun too.

What EW have you heard?

I got mine a week ago. At leat a lot faster than the Witchcult Today diehard LP. Diehard version isn't very special in this case. Just uncensored cover, which is just without the small pentagram that is on the censored one at specific spot and it comes with a poster.

Reverends The Gate of Nanna is anyways fucking good!

Oh yeah, that's the other reason I found this 12" interesting. Despite hating that band, I am curious to hear that Beherit cover.

The cover for is fucking awesome too. The die hard is said to be "uncensored" for this one as well, which is confusing and worrying, because they show the same cover for both editions on the website.

They better not pull some gay bullshit with that. I want the cover shown.

I got mine couple of days ago and I live in cali, ordered the "die hard" when it came out, nothing really special and the poster is not too shabby either, the cover is rediculous tho it's just a hairy pussy and that's the difference between the regular version, just go surf some vintage porn or some asian porn and you can get that easily, hehe.

RB is one of my fav bands and been supporting them since the early years of splits. It's funny how they're so popular and how shitload of egayers are bidding ridiculous amounts of money for their releases nowadays. When the single "slave of satan" came out and topped the charts on finland, I know something is coming. I'm glad they're getting the attention though, because they deserve it

My case is the opposite. In the rectory is my fav release from them and my least fav. is crush the insects.

I like the cover. I love the Satanic 70's films/culture and the atmosphere and visuals of it all.

Thanks for pointing out the difference. It's pretty subtle. It's a pretty lame attempt to make the die hard edition something special though.

I got my Die Hard copy the other day. I bought it just to hear the Beherit cover. I despise Electric Wizard. It's definately going on my trade list or more likely ebay.

May think about getting this soon. Electric Wizard are pretty good as far as I remember and I like Reverend Bizarre.

Perhaps the 'Die Hard' idea is highlighting what a farce some Die Hard editions actually are.
