Band could exist without Gorruth for sure.

I don't think that he will agree with that Laughing

As I understand, that was a strange type of the band: its leader and owner was (is?) the guy who wrote lyrics (without singing or playing any instrument; and keep in mind that on "Sorcery..." demo he even did not write lyrics), did interviews and provided the whole management.
But now (if the rumors are true) the band member responsible for music called it quits and everything seems to be stopped.
What is more strange is that the people who entirely composed and recorded the first product of the band, "Sorcery..." demo, were silent during Gorruth's activity, but now, after the success of the project under Gorruth's management, they claim that they did not give him any permission to use Temnozor name. Strange strategy, isn't it?
As for me I still hope at least for any statement from Gorruth concerning this situation - though better would be reunion with man responsible for magnificence of "Horizons..." and "Graveforests and their Shadows".

Now, in 2013 the two members from the old lineup suddenly decided to reanimate the band and released remastered version of the first album on Bandcamp:

Damn, this remaster sounds perfect! Thanks for the share...

OK, you're right. But I don't think Gorruth is why people listen to Walknut, or Temnozor. Wink

Is Stellar Winter's website down, or is my work just blocking it?

Folkstorm is fucking great. Not interested in any remastered versions of any Temnozor. Moving along now.

I once discussed LP editions of the albums with Gorruth but got 'no' in the end as WTC planned on doing these. No idea why that didn't came through.

Pagan Metal isn't that popular on vinyl by the way, Blazing went bankrupt because of the Dub Buk trilogy on LP's some years ago.

Not exactly Pagan Metal, but apparently it took five years for the only Branikald LP to sell out of 100 splatter diehards. Bad distribution maybe, but still not promising. The 400 blacks will probably be there for the next 20 years. I wouldn't want anything to do with Temnozor vinyl Laughing

Well if the band is of those guys, it is from those guys. In my book the "owners" of a band are the founders... if they want to come to make music under their own band's name, it's their right i guess...

That said, "Folkstorm..." is a great work of pagan BM for me, a top-3 of the style... granted still, I'm not a scholar on that sub-genre, nor care to be one...

Strange that fact about that Branikald vinyl, a priori I was thinking the opposite... I mean, the front cover is a masterpiece of a painting and that album is one of the last great BBH full lengths, thought a vinyl edition would sold out in just months...

Is Temnozor really that much of a bankable name for two bands to be fighting over it? Money cannot be the issue, or even kudos. The original guys should just carry on under a different name - I imagine claiming you're 'ex-Temnozor' would attract as much attention as the name 'Temnozor' itself in such a tiny scene.

Agree with previous post about Folkstorm of Azure Nights, immense album. 'Autumn Razors Sing Above My Wrists' is such a great song.

Flutes are typically made of metal, mate. Can't get more metal than that.

Thanks for the information! I guess such a big problem can stop some initiatives...
