Not really ashamed of anything I listen to be it metal or non metal.

The oddest one that is in my collestion, that makes people look at me in shock is Dwight Yoakam. Love his work, brilliant guitar work by Pete Anderson, and the lyrics are great.
Also like like the aussie band Cold Chisel which probably is frowned upon. They had great songwriters, and great social commentary in their lyrics. Not to mention a brilliant live show. Their lead singer was always wasted (80's Ozzy style) but always on form.

Same here, it's an embarassment to post on this forum. But also, I love boy bands, grunge, Madonna, sauna sessions with other men, Lou Ferrigno calendars, Dokken, Winger and gay man sex. I'm gay, I take it up the ass.

God is dead since S.XIX.

There should be no guilt about things you listen.

Guilty pleasure doesn't mean you literally feel guilty for taking pleasure in it. It's a metaphor. Basically it just means something you like that is out of the norm, and you would typically shun or bash on.

I've had this Ke$ha (sp?) song stuck in my head since Wednesday afternoon.... All I know is that she is a total fox and I don't even know what this song is called....

Also that one Bruno Mars song is really catchy.

I work in a psychiatric clinic and every Wednesday we play the hit station all day and subsequently I know every popular song because I hear them 5 times a week each.... Mad

I'm glad we listen to a classic rock station at work, although it's annoying to also hear Nickelback, Kings of Leon or any other "mordern classic" as they call that crap.

Edit: speak of the devil! There's Nickelback popping up! Sad

Wtf? Wow I can't believe you would be embarrassed to like Pink Floyd. If anything to me Pink Floyd is better than 90% of the black metal material I listen to. Razz

...

Same for me. In fact, if I had to keep only one record, regardless of the genre, it would be Meddle by Pink Floyd. Black metallers who like atmospheric/ambient stuff should listen to this.

Otherwise, I have a lot of shitty music I got after parties, like Basshunter, French 80's music, German jodel, GŁnther etc...
Also some French electronic music like Daft Punk.

Lots of classic 60's/70's rock, but there's nothing to be ashamed for this.

Same here.. hehe. Either that one or some classical symphony. First song on that album is definitely metal in spirit. Much more so for me than any hard rock album released around the same time.

Some of the RAC and punk I can enjoy when drunk would definitely be embarrassing to listen to with sober people in the room. Not because itís badly performed, but because itís genuinely shitty. Of course, that does not apply to everything in those genres.

I would never consider Pink Floyd a guilty pleasure either, unless you're the sort that's exclusively into kvltgoating.... A lot of stuff I really like that my wife is totally weirded out by, like Herbie Hancocks jazz-funk era could be considered a guilty pleasure but I have no shame in listening to that stuff, especially when there's really sick bass playing with an envelope filter at work......

I had to youtube the Kesha song I mentioned above, it's the techno country one with Pitbull rapping.... THAT is fucking gay.....

I think i own every CD by both. Even those Live Isis things. Seen both live. Own Panopticon and Oceanic on 12'' cuz they're the best. I dont see anything guilty about them. A lot of post rock is now kinda redundant, but there's some great releases also. I like plenty... Mogwai, If These Trees Could Talk, some Explosions on the Sky, Godspeed, Caspian. I like post rock and I love metal... and I really dont like them mixed but I like Alcest ok. Ok im done drunkinly defending something that i didnt know had to be defended haha.
