I like some country too. But only early 90s and earlier shit. Maybe im just not afraid to admit my guilty plesures? Or i just have more than others. Nah, i think you all need to be more honest. Oh i love Genesis and Phil Collins too.

But then when im all done with In the Air at night.... its time for CUT YOUR FLESH AND WORSHIP SATAN. I need some of that audio violence in my life. Otherwise... my life wouldnt be my life. Im trying my best to not be a false, and trying best to be an entry.

No way is there anything "guilty" about this

Unless it's feeling guilty about constantly thinking about the sweet 70s trim on Stevie Nicks....

Right now my listening repertoire consist of 60% non-metal music, but most of it is quality music (by my standards) of different genres (post-rock, shoegaze, ambient, drone, dark jazz, contemporary classical, dark folk...) so nothing to be ashamed of here, but I also have some flaws like Lana Del Rey, Perfume Genius, How to Dress Well, London Grammar, The Irrepressibles and Anhony and the Johnsons. Its just so damn catchy Very Happy.

In my book there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure.

So does this mean that literally anything other than cult metal is a guilty pleasure?

This thread makes no sense. Do grown adults really feel guilty or embarrassed about music they like?

Guilty pleasure doesn't mean you literally feel guilty for taking pleasure in it. It's a metaphor. Basically it just means something you like that is out of the norm, and you would typically shun or bash on.

Only an absolute philistine would take issue with that.
