Laughing Rolling Eyes

yes !

Though I doubt I'd rebuy Mercyful Fate, this is also sound advice for Bathory.
When I do re-buy someday, Only want original Bathory vinyl or CD pressings after all of the info I learned from this forum about the reissues.

For me the sound of reissues is ok, but layout is obviously better on the originals.

Only KD/MF album I would advise buying as a reissue is The Puppet Master 2LP (3-sided). Original was only 1xLP.

This. I don't have the reissues myself although I'm a diehard KD/MF-collector but at the layouts are horrible. Seems like the images have been scanned from the CD-versions and strenched to fit the vinyl format. Awful.

And as pointed out the originals are not that hard/expensive to find.

In general I don't have anything if they are done properly. Like for example the Napalm Death vinyl reissues are identical to the originals so I'll rather buy vinyls in better shape and for a cheaper price because I buy vinyl first and foremost for listening, not for being a status symbol.
