After the BF thread i started listening to bands that were connected to eachother in some way and pulled out old Nastrond tapes, ep and first cd.
Underrated or what?

From a Black Funeral Coffin - Essential
Digerdoden - Essential
Toteslaut - One of the best Black metal cds ever to come from Sweden

anyone else?

EDIT: One of the best BM pics ever

(shit, one more shirt i need to add to my list: Nastrond logo shirt)

Todeslaut is a pretty original album. I like it quite a bit except the production. The demo was also great. How about the other recordings?

The EP is the best thing they did I think. Not too into the later material, too little metal for me. Age of Fire had some good parts and the newest cd has some good parts too. They haven't come close to the old stuff. I read an interview where he was speaking about how they were going to sign with Malicious Records instead of Napalm. Things could have turned out a little different for them if they stayed away from that shitty label.

Toteslaut is one of my favorite albums ever, the production is absolutely out of this world. Definitely an underrated band.

I would be interested in that EP. Sounds interesting.

I've only heard that full length 'Muspellz Synir' . Thought it is really good. Never got around to getting copies of the previous albums.

My advice: never give a fuck about "underratings". Underrated = underground.
Nastrond frontman has some serious writings out on ixaxaar and the band has done some outstanding music.

Funny, I was just going to write something along these lines, but I didn't take the time to do it.

Not a big fan of their latest record though.

My only complaint about Toteslaut is that I don't like the snare sound. Otherwise a very interesting chunk of blackness.

I love Nastrond, and have everything you mentioned. I'm also going to get their new CD, as it is pretty good. Nastrond is quality like Armagedda, Sorhin, Vinterland, Magog- Sweden has a lot of great black metal bands.

That about says it all. Nastrond was one of the best black metal bands from back then... they always released highly creative stuff. I really like Age Of Fire, also.

"Toteslaut" is definitely in my top 10 of BM. Love the HELLHAMMER "Reaper" part on "Gravestench".

On this, does anyone have any clue as to how much the Nastrond/Nocturnity split is worth? It's the pic-version with booklet, etc.
