it's ok, but the sound is utterly modern and clean. They could make it more raw

Never happen, Tom doesn't like regression. People complaining about the modern sound are missing the point

"Warrior" is regressing since almost 30 years now.

And of course it sounds modern, just have a look at the background of his band-members.

this band got their formula with the guitar sound and tunes,,,,,and they wrote songs,,...slow songs.... whith the nasty tom vocals,..but in the end its just a compilation with good parts and boring parts,..but the tom warrior frost guitar sound will please a lot of people. But let us be honest,....those songs arent that superrrrr, or what ?

I've only heard the first track, but it sounds a lot like The More Things Change...-era Machine Head. With a different lyrical subject matter of course.

Machine Head?!

Sounds pretty good album again. Good thing that the songs are a bit trimmed and only one song clocks over 10 minutes. Will definitely check them live again in August. Maybe Triumph of Death is included... Cool

I hope someone's on suicide watch at Tom's house, it sounded like being HR Geiger's left-hand man was the only thing keeping him tethered to this vale of tears.

No one makes a Celtic Frost album except Celtic Frost themselves.

When it comes to Swiss print-media, the Schweizer Illustrierte is quite the gutter of boulevard journalism, featuring mostly C-grade "celebrities" and attention-whores:

I don't think you can get much lower than this, as an "extreme metal musician". Consider yourself lucky if you don't understand (Swiss) German.

I want to like this Triptykon project, but it all sounds so monotonous to me... that last Celtic Frost album Monotheist? ...then this second Triptykon album... all three leave me feeling like I listened to the same droning album.

The only thing that would have me purchase this as an impulse buy is the album cover art if I happen upon it at HMV or something. Wink
