|
|
During these past 3 years, Black Ivory Tower has existed as a webzine, characterised by an analytical, quality-over-quantity approach.
But now, after many hours of hard labour, the first physical edition of Black Ivory Tower is available. Subtitled Interbellum, this publication links the finest music of our time to the troubles of the era in which we live. The magazine is printed professionally on A4, and contains 60 pages (including front and back covers) of high-quality material, complete with a carefully selected set of both colour and black-and-white pictures referencing history, nature and culture. Interbellum is limited to 100 hand-numbered copies.
This magazine is different from most other underground zines in two ways: firstly, we focus on reviews over interviews. To clarify: this first edition contains NO interviews whatsoever. Secondly, the design is somewhat more ‘tame’ and ‘colourful’ than the traditional metal fanzine. I hate horror movies, I hate comic books, I hate exploitation, I hate collage fonts, so none of that will be found in the magazine.
Bands covered include Peste Noire, Drudkh, Dub Buk, Alio Dei, Wolfskin, Zhaoze, Kamaedzitca and more. Two articles already appeared on the website, but the rest is exclusive to the printed edition.
The price for a magazine is €6. Shipping costs are €5 for regular mail and €16 for registered mail. If you are interested in wholesale, let me know because the conditions vary per country.
All orders go via blackivorytower[AT]gmail[DOT]com Be sure to include your address and the number of copies you'd like to order.

Maybe, but by all means the shipping costs from over here are pretty forgiving. _________________ Black Ivory Tower zine | Website | FB |

So over half of the magazines have now been sold or reserved. Copies will also be available with some European distributors, but either way I wouldn't wait too long if you're interested in getting this.
To clarify: total price is €11 for regular shipping and €22 for registered mail (for 1 copy), worldwide. _________________ Black Ivory Tower zine | Website | FB |

I forgot to mention that this page on the website includes some more photographs and text fragments of the articles:
http://degtyarov.wordpress.com/magazine/
Some comments from readers so far:
"Your zine looks 400% better than most"
"The world would be a much better place with more fanzines like BIT and with less of the usual goatfago kvlt garbage"
"I think you would make a great political/philosophical magazine"
"This magazine changed my life. I think I've become a better person because of it. You deserve a Nobel Prize in Literature. And that's an understatement."
Ok, the last one was me, but the rest was sent in by loving fans. _________________ Black Ivory Tower zine | Website | FB |

Just letting you guys know that, due to being busy with my dayjob, orders will be sent out less frequently; about one or two times per week. Recent orders will be shipped on Saturday.
Sorry bros. _________________ Black Ivory Tower zine | Website | FB |
