Has anyone else here gotten/heard this comp.? There is some pretty killer 70s heavy rock/proto-doom on here. There are some brief samples here:

Yeah, a friend of mine pre-ordered the deluxe version with the board game. Not really something I would be into unless it could hold my 7-year-old daughter's attention. Not likely. That said, YK really should have stepped it up a notch and designed a board game for the SABBAT die-hard box.

I should be getting copies of this for the distro sooner or later. It looks great.

Packaging looks really cool on this, definitely has a "stoner doodling on high school text book" vibe. Hope the music stacks up.

It's really nice. Case-wrapped with purple foil stamping.

can get enough of this great comp. its worth the price alone for the gorgon medusa. i have some of the actual 7"s on it like the massive wrath 7"...and i have to say this is simply the best value all around unless you have $1,000 or so for the gorgon medusa 7". packaging is superb as well. numero really goes a 100% when it comes to the obscure hard rock proto metal stuff.

Fuck yeah, one of the most crucial releases this year for me.

Anyone preorder the board game?

no need to go overboard on the board game even though it looks great, but the SUPA CHIEF 7" it comes with is bad ass! I hope they do just a single release for that 45 on its own. great tunes.

Is that bonus 7" that comes with the limitation edition worth the money?

The Medusa LP these guys released was beautiful, and this looks amazing too. Samples sound bloody brilliant, must get a hold of this soon.

Are there any other similar proto metal/rock releases by Numero worth checking out?

Here's what Adam from the Numero Group told me recently.

Quote:
-Josefus "Dead Man" LP from 1970. Thats like heavy psych rock from Texas.

-Circuit Rider "S/T" LP from 1971. It sounds like a more dangerous version of the doors. Dark and strange. "Included on the Acid Archives' list of Top Ten LPs Most Likely To Be Owned By A Serial Killer." Love that quote.

-Wicked Lester "You Are Doomed" 2x7" from 1979. Fuzzed out hardrock from Cleveland. I like this one a lot.
