I think that band Julie Laughs Nomore was similar, but inferior. Also a band called Vermin tried to copy that style without much success.

The following Entombed album is also great to my ears. Gorefest "Soul Survivor" is also quite underrated, but some people say that I have a brain defect for thinking so.

Dellamorte from Sweden is an excelent example of Entombed's death'n'roll rip off, I love them:
hem.passagen.se/dellamorte
Also Furbowl and some Xysma...
and Gorefest with Chapter 13...
Desultory, hated by everyone but Swallow the Snake is great mambo jambo in wolverine style.

Exclamation

Korpse, definitely - "Pull The Flood" has more balls but "Revirgin" is also cool.
Their guitarrist now plays in Bonesaw (Scotland), also worth a try.

Hearse, featuring Jon Liiva.

Try Xysma and Disgrace from Finland. And even Convulse late releases...

Not many did this even half as well as "Wolverine Blues," sadly. I do like Convulse's "Reflections" and Dellamorte. Many others didn't get the mix quite right - usually they put too much roll and not enough death in it.

"We Are The Damned" from Portugal is OK in this style for a new band.

The term Death n' Roll sounds so lame... like danceable retard music or some gay shit like that. Death Rock sounds much more heterosexual, to my ears at least.

This is not one of my fave genres at all, but there are some ok bands like some later Carcass, Korpse, later Entombed, some Gutted, "There's Something Rotten..." era Illdisposed (although 70% of that LP blows), and such.

There's so much great classic death metal, I wonder why waste time with this 'death n' roll' garbage, but to each his own I guess.
