I've understood that the band is not active anymore.

Sigrblot was, basically, one man, at least, when I used to meet him in mid-00ies. It's the first time I hear about supposed connections with other bands you mention too. Cannot be sure about more up-to-date status, though.

So who is behind Sigrblot after all? Been getting little paranoid. Yesterday listened Allegiance "Hymntill hangagud" and some parts sounded like they could be from Sigrblot. And some months ago listened Diabolicum and was "sure" that they are the men behind Sigrblot.

Yeah, from what i remember the Sigrblot guy was a shaved hair dude named Mikael (?) who to hang out with Watain a lot mid/late 00's. Not sure but i think he worked merch or something for them.

His name is Nicolas, we got aquainted in 2004 in Czech Republic where arrived to meet in person with Watain. He was their merch dude when I bring them to St. Petersburg in 2005. We've been shortly in contact afterwards, however it interrupted after I've shared my thoughts about Twatain progress. No bad remembrances at all, though, absolutely great and inspired guy. Btw, what I remember for 1488% he firmly stated that "Sigrblot is NOT the NSBM band". Wink

Was being sarcastic, just joking about how “metal news” sites will take info like this and then villainize all involved and/or take things out of context.

I was really hoping someone bumped this thread with news on some sort of new release. Bummer.
Agreed, their portion on Weltenfeind is some of the best black metal I've ever heard.

Actually that makes sense. Might that be Niklas from Bardo Methodology? The connection between Bardo M. -> WTC -> Sigrblot makes that quite plausible.
