This boot on blue vinyl that someone is selling in the trade section doesn't really look very reliable...anyone know of distros that have it?

It's worth seeking out in my opinion. I was just happy to get this stuff on vinyl.

I wonder why they never got around to doing it officially. It would be good as double LP with a huge booklet.

None at Iron Bonehead...damn! Oh well. It'll pop up someplace. But yes, could definitely use a proper release.

Because Threeman is a lazy-ass label that takes three years to do projects that should take six months..? The last Entombed album was delayed repeatedly, and after a couple years of promises they decided to just not to the Nirvana 2002 CD at all. I'm glad they don't have deals with any artists I love.

Supposedly another label has picked it up and is working on it, but I don't know which one. That was posted on the N2002 myspace fan page, and they said the information came from Erik.

Well I'm reading an interview with the guy who did Svensk Dodsmetal Encyclopedia. He mentions to expect a CD release of Nirvana 2002 soon but I don't know how long ago that interview was posted (its on Voices From the Darkside) so no idea whether its out of date or not.

I recently listened to one of N2k2 demos. Quite a good band but what's the story behind the band's name?

They were originally called Prophet 2002, then Nirvana. When that other Nirvana became huge, the Swedish Nirvana reclaimed the 2002 from their old name to differentiate themselves.

Vic Records has the rights and is doing a reissue of that with "The Light of Day" single, but I don't know if vinyl is planned.
