honestly, expecting intellectual consistency and integrity from disillusioned bored metal youth of the 90s is as dumb as taking life lessons from a 2000 year old dead jew

if someone hasn't changed in some meaningful way since they were 21, then they are probably boring as fuck
you see these people at the bar at Outback Steakhouse

it sure helps dispelling each and every myth that ever existed about his band

Was there really that many myths about Darkthrone? I can only remember reading a handful of interviews back then when he was more into this "serious" black metal character. The majority of the rest atleast gave me the feeling the he was mostly joking around and couldn't care less.

The "myth" was created by the fans rather than the band, I think. And the same fans refuse to accept the simple fact that DT guys have always been cool guys with a black, twisted sense of humour. So simple and yet so difficult to embrace...

I like Fenriz. He has created and immediately demystified the Hello Kitty Drumming myth.

sorry, don't want to sound like a jerk - but I don't need to dilute the purity of my enjoyment of a band's output with notions of mystery to make it more "exciting"
I like the idea of wondering WHAT they are talking and thinking about, but who they are as people? they aren't mystical mountain men frolicking amongst the mountain peaks, they are just like me

the dream died when I heard that the guy from Kataxu is really into KFC (value source)

Baffling. I prepare a much better version of their crispy chicken thing. There's nothing very special about KFC.

Can anyone post his best of 2014 list? I heard about the new Execration through that and loved it. Makes me want to revisit the list, but I can't remember where I saw it.

Fenriz supports new metal, I support that.

Plus he has decent taste. He did say that that Crypt Sermon had the perfect riff. Smile

This.

Also - 9 page thread = Fenriz wins and the losers lose.
