Band needs no explanation, really. One of Austria's finest.

This is one of my wife's favorite bands, so I've heard waaaay too much Summoning. I'd vote for the second or third album.

I will call forth Stronghold , something in it brings forth a depth of inner creation that dwells deep within , the songs are as a bleeding of ancient stone manifesting the essence of the dark soil they were birthed upon...

I opened a Summoning poll 1-2 years ago, it would be interesting to compare the results if the old one still exists. I voted for Minas Morgul as that was my introduction to the band. Probably my second favorit is Stronghold, but they don't have a weak record. One of my all time favorit bands, flawless discography. Hail Summoning!

I've listened to all of them 100+ times and all of them have their charm. Voted LMHSYF because it's the first one I heard (back when it came out), and it blew me away. Had never heard anything like it, totally changed how I thought about music and probably to this day the biggest influence in how I write music.

Lugburz + Demos, when it's about Black Metal. I really dig their latter recordings too, with LMHSYF being my favorite among the whole lot of great albums.

Minas Morgul is where my heart lies (my first contact with them, memories of discovering Tolkien and being fascinated by that whole magic world as a kid) but I voted for Lugburz since it's an underrated album with some truly great riffs and sometimes very unorthodox drum parts.

Difficult to choose since most of them are great, but for me Stronghold is their best I guess. I could also have gone for LMHSYF but that album contains too much LotR-samples that get a bit annoying after a while.

Minas Morgul for sure. But Stronghold, Dol Guldur and Oath Bound are close.
What a fantastic band.

Voted Dol Guldur. My introduction to Summoning.
When I took the cd home from the library I wasn't expecting this style but it grew on me quite fast.
I remember it being winter and reading a book about knights and stuff in my room.

I voted for Minas Morgul, but Stronghold and LMHSYF are as good as Minas Morgul for me.

Really tough choice. Voted Dol Guldur. Minas Morgul close second. Nightshade Forests and LMHSYF tying for third.
