The day everything fades to digital will be the day I suppose I basically stop buying any new releases.
All the more reason to build a ridiculous enormous collection today I say.
When the day comes that buying a new album is just plugging your portable electronic device into an outlet and uploading credits while the music downloads... is a sickening thought.
Artwork and presentation is just as important to me as the music is in some ways. A wicked album cover is like a three pronged fish hook, you are not putting that album down anymore and escaping, you are hooked in more ways than one. _________________ Bloodline Ascension Temple : https://soundcloud.com/bloodlineascensiontemple
Every record is instantly sold out it seems now, except for the ones that are not. Buy one of those!? |

Well one of the best parts for me when getting a new album is flicking through the booklet or looking at all the artworks on the cover, all the details, reading through the lyrics is also part of the appeal too.
Maybe plugging in and downloading is the future but I'll be damned if I allow that future to come easily! |

Ha ha, yeah, that was Fred Meyer. i don't see many in the stores locally, but Portland has plenty of record stores that sell vinyl anyways. i did see some in the Fred Meyer stores in my hometown in Alaska last summer.
Over the weekend, i saw the LP box set version of the new Judas Priest at Best Buy. $90!!! |
Dude are you from Fairbanks? |
