This is weird - I compared "Warlock" from both versions of the CD and the Black Lotus one is the SAME pitch, but faster. Did they run this through some kind of time-stretching software or something? It's much harder to change the speed of a song without changing the pitch also - samples have to be removed or added, and it tends to make the audio sound warbly and unnatural if you overdo it. Even the best case scenario still compromises the sound noticably.

I don't know what the hell this is about. I messaged the band but haven't heard back. For now I'm going to assume that Black Lotus did something weird on this reissue (in line with that cover art, really) - and seek out the original.

I know that some people here discuss it some time ago, but I forgot it.
How´s the difference between Necromantia's 1st LP Crossing....of the red & yellow Label Logo on the backcover ? Different Year/pressing info ?
