Don't really care if there are "nordic" riffs, sure there's a small element of "A Blaze..." but that is not a bad thing. The "nordic" parts are pretty minimal anyway.

Was the Whore made up of old unused riffs, or was that just the Angelslaying EP before? Either way, it'd be interesting to hear an album made up of purely new material (even if it ends up sounding slightly Norse).

Light-Devouring Darkness probably goes along the lines of Luciferian Darkness:
The Darkness to the weak and fools
Light for the Elite who can see.

I forgot to mention, of course a tee-shirt will be printed with the same artwork.

Really, I didnt know that, might have to find a pic of it to check it out.

just go to thorncross' site -> www.chrismoyen.com/g08.htm -> scroll six rows down and in the seventh you will find trivium tour shirt designs

BTW, maybe I'll also create an artwork for Misfits soon, if I get time.

If you do a Misfits piece you should try to hide the phrase "only Glenn is real" in tiny ass letters somewhere in the art.

I'm working on the design actually. It will be a tribute shirt to old MISFITS era. White on black.
I decided to draw something old punk school (haha!) in the vein of that
Exploited skull with mohawk !

No need to write that, this artwork is for / has been approved by/ Glenn D.

Archgoat is great, but it's amazing that people hardly ever talked about them until they reformed. Now they seem to be kings of the (Oc)cult. Laughing

Interesting. I wonder why Glenn is doing a Misfits shirt...

Chris Moyen design for non-Jerry Only Misfits? Might have to buy this shirt.

Been on a major Misfits/Samhain/early Danzig these last few days.

There is no joke. Am I the only one hearing those Darkthrone riffs?

Not at all. I could go through the album and easily pick out those riffs. In my opinion it's a really interesting attempt to mix some of that style in with their bestial approach.

I think they work perfectly fine in the Angelcunt / Angelslaying style

I have high hopes for this album. Obviously they won't be able to match up the mighty debut EP, but Whore of Bethlehem was great, and I'm sure this one will be too. And the way they incorporate the hints of Norse riffing doesn't bother me at all. It's a nice contrast in my opinion and they don't overdo it.

That new song needs a lot of delay and reverb! Specially on the vocals.
