The verse riff (~0m38s) never gets old, a prime exemple of thrash metal riffing superiority over anything else

Yeah, that is probably the most violent thrash riff ever written.

The most genius riff crafting I've ever heard occurs between 2:47 - 3:42 in Arghoslent's Manacled Freightage. This passage then repeats itself. Just brilliant songwriting.

That riff in the Nuns version of Corpse Without Soul that sounds like Thin Lizzy played by Satan.

I prefer the riff at 4:20 on that track, probably my favourite Arghoslent riff!

Arghoslent's Hornets of the Pogrom is definitely a contender for the album with the best riffs overall award. I'd have trouble just picking one.

Outside of Arghoslent, that riff on Emperor's I am the Black Wizards is definitely one of the greatest.

its all about 1:20 on Quelling the Simian Surge
3:18 on Transpolar Combat
And of course 4:51 on The Ghosts of Flossenburg

You could build an empire on those three riffs

The mean as fuck riff that explodes out of the trippy parts and then repeats near the end of GBK's "Fecal Parturition." One of my all-time favorites:

First comes in at 4:10.

YES! My very favorite GBK riff. The harmonics really top it off!

Why settle for just one?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uppUDhgcLbM

And you can just tell the kids are pulling these out of their ass, zero effort involved. It just happens. The term has been abused to the point where it has no meaning anymore, but if it fits, it fits: this stuff has swagger. It moonwalks into the room, tap dances it's way to the bar, breaks bottles over the heads of the nearest two patrons and proceeds to beat everyone else up in perfect choreography without skipping a beat. Then it shags the best looking broad.

The scary part is that the entire album is like this.

It's alright. Good death metal flow but it's definitely got a rouge hardcoreish edge that doesn't sit well with me. A modern style death metal album that's chock full of good riffs is Scepter of the Ancients
