I seen the lp, cd, and cs version on de mysteries are all different, which one did you like best? I own the cd version and just purchased the tape and vynil to hear the other tracks.. i know i can easily YT all of this but wanted to know which version stands out most and had the most memorable effect or impact on you...

for me the CD
but as an impatient substance addled retard, I can't really sit there patiently and truly appreciate the entire piece (as a trinity)

for me this is great background black metal, sorry to say

I agree with the background black metal statement, it's great to read to, or to nap to whilst on night shift, leads to some interesting dreams.

De Mysteriis Dom Christi's pretentious popery is so profound I converted to Catholicism without even a moment of rational thought.

Buy now or repent on your deathbed.

I really liked it at first, but the only part of it I find myself listening to now is the cassette- and not particularly often. It's funny, because this was a release I saw as one of the best of last year. I just don't think it really held up for me after a pretty liberal handful of plays. I do appreciate the originality in it, though.
So I guess DMDC is wildly original and interesting, but not particularly engaging after repeat listening. It is sort of like a movie with a twist ending- you're going to really enjoy it at first, but it's going to lose it's effect after a while.

Urkaos, on the other hand, I still find to be very engaging, although it might be technically "inferior".

Tape is my favourite by far, followed by the CD.
Listening to the 'trinity' in it's entirety can be a bit exhausting. I don't think i could ever fall asleep to the album though. The creepy interludes keep me awake and the sound on this album is just too massive.
