He surely lacks quality control, the Walmart of Metal logos.
No really, I think a few of his logos are killer, but about 98% I've seen look generic or worse...

Yes, he is known to do that! A friend of mine also witnessed him eating someone else's cold french fries which has been thrown away on the grass... Question

I don't think you can really blame him for his logos for being all the same. Its the bands giving him ideas and he does what they want him to do.

I think that he is a very good artist and has an interesting approach to doing a lot of the logos, but with the amount of work he does there's going to be a problem with over repetion and flooding the market.

At least he charges for them now, which will hopefully allow him to do more with less (and have more dedicate/quality clients) and allow other artists (such as myself) to get a few more commissions without whoring ourselves out.

You have to admit one thing about him though. He's been able to imprint himself onto the underground metal scene in a way that even many of the most popular bands have failed to. He's made certain that his work will survive pretty much as long as the genre does.

Chris did a logo for my old band several years ago. I think he just did it and sent it to us. I never never asked for it and never actually used it, but that was simply because I was happy with the one we had. I guess there would be a contingency of acts he has just gone ahead and made them for. I don't recall him being that interested in the band or anything...

Some logos he has made are really excellent. Plus I have high respect towards this guy because of his years in Septicore magazine in late 80s. What a killer death metal bible it was. Featuring the most obscure black/death metal bands with the right attitude. Was he called Necrovomit or Necromaniac at that time?

When he promoted a Vader show here he announced them onstage in a long blond wig, tiara and a white negligee.

He also had always a bag full of demotapes and CDs with him when he went with bands on a concert tour in order to sell them. Bought from him several great tapes back then.
