I think releasing 4 albums at once kind of minimizes them to some extent.

Any particular reason why?

A guess ...it is a HUGE mouthful to digest and unless it is the only 4 albums and this one band you bought this week, it will go under the tide with the deluge of everything and everyone else releasing something during the same time frame.

Die hard fans will love anything by their beloved artists. ...the rest of us just are the same with just different loyalties laying elsewhere and well... much tends to go under the radar or ability to consume and digest.

Exactly, if released separately or even maybe 2 at a time I'd personally give more attention to them, 4 at once is just overkill. Maybe it's just me though, and if it were 4 Beketh Nexehmu albums at once (different guy I know), perhaps I'd be saying the exact opposite. I say that because BN albums tend to be more individualistic in sound whereas a lot of the Grav I checked out from these 4 sound very similar other than the production.

grav is definitely my favourite of all these projects, aside from the likpsalm demo from grifyiuhsughuiaarh. great continuation of the ond spiritism sound i think. favourite album of the 4 was tomb of agony, was actually kind of excited to see 4 at once

These last four Grav LPs are killers.
I think some people are starting to take these projects for granted. Their loss, really.

I'm the opposite, a lot of but not all of old Grav can be boring and sounds to much like Lik for me ....the four most recent lp's are definitely on another level though.

+1

A good observation regarding the LIK worship. Newer and more melodic Grav surely sounds much more unique and fresh.

In addition, support for the t-shirts!

About one of Sir N's other bands:

"Ostrogothia Productions
7 tim ·

The next cassette after Jarnvidr/Grafvölludr- :Av Germanskt Blod: will most likely be:
Kaos Sacramentum- Avgrundens Konst, pro-tape.
CD and vinyl released by Ancient Records. Another CD version was later re-released by Darker Than Black.

The tape version will soon be available through Ostrogothia Productions. Printed with permission from Sir N (Grav, Svartrit, Hädanfärd, Draug).

Stay safe. /S."

Edit. And speaking of LIK. According to Metal archives, the drummer from K.S is playing in LIK.

I still haven't listened Grav's new releases properly, but change of his trademark vocals on Tomb Of Agony is bothering me.

Can the OP or Ixtab change the thread title to "Svartrit and related projects", pls? There are more news coming soon and I'd like to just update this thread instead of posting it elsewhere. Much appreciated.

See, now I dig this Draug more than all 4 of those Grav records combined.

Insta-buy for me.

Agree!

On another note, the new Draug comp is fantastic. Even my girlfriend, who hates BM, liked it.
