I couldn't find another thread like this but if there is one, feel free to move this over there.

Inspired by the post about Archgoat's live performance recently - I'm wondering what bands are out there that can't be missed.

For me the answer is easy:
BOLZER

Seeing their performance this year at Saint Vitus with DHG (Also fucking amazing) stuck with me and inspired me for months. Afterwards I felt like I was going through withdrawal and needed another such experience (which has not yet arrived).

Other shows this year that knocked me out were Uniform/The Body collaboration, Daughters, Churchburn, Full of Hell, Amenra, and Of Feather and Bone.

Worst show I saw this year was Whoredom Rife. Was really looking forward to it and it was such a letdown.

Archgoat we’re great at NBM a few years back. Enjoyed the Darvaza set in scotland also.

Pseudogod is high on my list of bands I want to see. I hope they make it to the US again.

100% agree. I've seen Suffo thrice with Frank and once without. Every time with Frank was fucking off the chain, the one time without was super boring and kind of sad tbh.

They destroyed at MDF 2014! Covered in blood in Baltimore in May, must have gotten real sticky for them. I believe Impurath was on bass at that show, which was sick.

seen CC last month and it was insanely boring - they are basically going through the motions at this point.

I am not a fan of them but I saw them about a decade ago because Celtic Frost opened I believe (maybe it was someone else, could be mixing up shows - it was at House of Blues in LA) and they were pretty fucking incredible. Hail to a legacy band that still brings that level of energy.

Gotta disagree, man, I think their music has just gotten better in recent years and, last I saw them, they still bring an incredible level of energy to their live performance. That said, I haven't seen them live since 2014, so maybe they've fallen off recently.

maybe because when I seen them prior (maybe 2013/14) it was a great set. this last time, just boring - even the when they played the older stuff at the end of the stuff, very lackluster
