I'm spending the next weekend in Paris with my girlfriend.. Any tips, preferably unconventional ones?

We'll be visiting the Rex club for example, other recommendations?
Nice gigs maybe? I'm not interested in Metal-bars or so..

I suggest the Black Dog, an awesome metal bar with gigantic bong-like pitchers. Cool place on Saturday. You can also eat there, but you have to make sure to reserve in advance (it's supposedly great meat, imported from Argentina!)

For stores, my favorite shop was Gilbert Joseph. Very cheap metal, lots of titles. Rock'n'Roll voltage was ok, but it was too fucking expensive.

if you're with your girlfriend, go to the gardens of Palais-Royal just in front of the Louvre. one of my favourite place in Paris.
like Annick said, Gilbert Joseph is worth to check.
in my opinion, avoid metal bars there, just full of posers. i don't think there're not any interesting gigs saturday i think... there's Brainbombs Wednesday.

Ohh sorry, I thought you said you WERE interested in them. Haha!!
I had a good time at that bar, but yeah, there are tons and tons of posers.

Fuck Nagawika, we should so have met when I was in Paris! I totally forgot you were living there, it would have been fucking cool to do some record shopping together!

The Erotism Museum in Pigalle sounds appealing.

Since I'm a vegetarian too, I can safely suggest you to check out the falafel shops on Rue Des Rosiers in the Jewish/Gay district a.k.a Le Marais (not NSBM Smile ). Some of the best falafel sandwiches ever.

One place I love in Paris is the Buttes Chaumont park in the north of the city. Great place to hang out.

There are some small 2nd hand stores here and there in Paris, but less than even 3 years ago. If you're looking for CDs, Gibert Joseph is the place to go. Catacombs and Le Père Lachaise are great but more and more people use to visit these places and it starts to suck.

Paris is good if you are into a 'love' mood, nothing else.
