This was pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks. _________________ MY TOP METAL ALBUMS: [ Click ]

Legion666 from Canada
Martyrdöd from Sweden
Agrimonia from Sweden
Darkside NYC from the US
Oral from Sweden (w.Grotesque's Alf)
All incorporate Punk/Crust into Black and Death Metal or the other way round. _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

| WarDog wrote: | | My favorite genre is Black/Thrash, that is more focused on the old-school Black Metal sound, without the blastbeats (unless I'm listening to Bestial Mockery, and Cryptic Slaughter). Stuff like Tyrant, Old, Aura Noir, Warhorde most of the other stuff Barbarian Wrath has put out and every single one of the Hellhammer worship bands (and obviously Hellhammer). I've been having problems tracking down stuff like Hotbild, Iskra, Stormcrow, Noia, Styggelse, Effigy and Ydintuho. Anyone have some suggestions? Just so you know I hate Nuit Noire not because of the whole Fairy thing, but just because it sucks ass. I have Skaven, and Wastelander already, as well, and I am coming at this as a Black Metal fan, not Crusty so keep clear of the super political Punk with Metal influence. |
Isn’t Iskra crusty as well? The band calls its music “Blackened Crust”. Iskra evolved from Black Kronstadt, which I don’t know. Maybe something for you. Ludicra is also between Punk/Crust and Black Metal. |

Pretty much anything besides Morrigan that was released on Barbarian Wrath is amazing, Patecabra is no exception, I just wish they had more stuff out.
Thanks for the list Peterott, I will check out the ones I haven't heard of. Anyone know if Legion666 is still together? _________________ MY TOP METAL ALBUMS: [ Click ]

| I would say Iskra is more thrash than anything (or at least that's where there music has been and is progressively going towards...) |

Rookwood from NSW Australia released an awesome debut album 'You Worship Shit' through Obsidian Records earlier this year. Features Joss from Shackles on lead vocals.

Ydintuho - Demo 2008 was supposed to be re-released by La Medula Espinal Records from Ecuador but it seems that the fucker ripped us off. |

| If you like the Ildjarn-style punk/BM hybrid there's Malveillance from Canada. His newer stuff is in that vein. I've even read he does some Ramones covers, never heard 'em though.... |

CD is out on HHR their doing the vinyl version too. |
Yeah, ordered the CD just the other day. It WILL kill. Also;
Upcoming release:
MLP/MCD titled 'Under the sign of the D-beat mark' [Deathrash Armageddom / Parasitic Records].
Sure, the titles and the band name are cheesy but when it comes to the tunes and the output they are second to none in this thread. |
