I'm making a compilation CD for a friend to introduce them to Sabbat, and just curious to know what 3 tracks people would pick to introduce someone new to the band. Either 3 favourite tracks, or 3 that most represent the band throughout their career. Live track suggestions welcome too...

Oh yeah, don't pick The Dwelling...

Envenom into the Witches Hole
Satan Bless You
The Letter From Death
Snow Woman

+ of course tracks from first 5 eps (especially the first one)

Anyway best will be to copy him any Sabbat live show or any already done compilation cd. He'll get into Sabbat or no and that's all.

Or better dont copy him anything. We dont need another Sabbat collector who next time buy last copy of an limited EP Very Happy

"Black Fire"
"Harmageddon"
"Satan Bless You"

Three different styles for SABBAT and three of my favourite songs.

MION'S HILL (version from Sabbat 1985 7") is not only the epitome of the Sabbat sound but is the best Metal song I've ever heard in my life.

So far most of my favorites have been mentioned already.

What is the name of the instrumental on Fetishism? That is damn good, as is the entire record. The title alludes me at moment.

It's a shame they're mostly looked at as a "collector's" type band and that there discography is cluttered with pointless releases (don't care much for anything besides the early EP's, full lengths and a couple of live records). Because musically they're fucking amazing and blending elements of different types of Metal like they do isn't something anyone could pull off.

Just one of the most unique bands. Lyrically and musically.
