Not a bad album at all but always preferred Dawn of the Dying Sun.

There is just something about the pace of this record.... I seem to remember buying this from FMP and the disk sound was really distorted. Stumbled across it on Spotify and it is really clear sounding...
The atmosphere is deadly. "Dawn..." is on there too. Will have to give it another listen as well....

Agree, the 2nd album is better.
Underrated band anyway, later OLD FUNERAL/early HADES is great Nordic Black Metal in the vein of epic Bathory and Burzum's "Aske".
Stuff released as "Hades Almighty" sucked though. |

I also agree that the second album is better. One of my favorites from Norway.

| I always found the demo to be their best stuff. The three songs got rerecorded for their two albums, but the demo versions are way better, especially "Alone Walkyng". |

| Both albums are very good but I too prefer Dawn of the Dying Sun. Alone Walkyng is by far their best song. |

I prefer the demo version of that song over the one on "Dawn...". |

Their debut is amazing. Second is almost as good....
I don't think it will ever get old/boring. Not too many bands from Norway did something "different" back then. Hades and Aeternus were an exception.

I'll do that too, but I distinctly remember liking the Alone Walkyng demo tracks more than the full lengths. One of the two first albums bored the hell out of me, just can't remember which one... or maybe I wasn't in the mood.
