I dont know if such a topic/poll has been posted in the past already, but here you go, lets have it
Very difficult to choose a number one for me personally because I love the bay area 80s thrash sound, so much killer riffs and intensity

Anyway, Im going for Exodus purely for their legendary debut Bonded By Blood...pretty hard to beat
Vio-Lence would take a close 2nd place for me (because of Eternal Nightmare of corpse)
That being said, I love all those bands

(no Possessed in this poll for legitimate reasons)

would Metallica not count? or how bout Epidemic?

either way I'd normally go with Bonded by Blood as best albAm by default and longevity, but my vote will go towards Vio-lence cuz that shit hits me like no other these days...

No Metallica, theyre too big & rockstar for this poll
and no Epidemic, because the list would become too long if I would insert every obscure bay-area thrash band that ever existed
I even put in Laaz Rockit knowing very well that they will not receive any votes here...but whatever, you know, theyre still bay-area

But Metallica is not from bay area originally.

I won't vote for this one at all. All of these bands made great albums, or at least one great one. Most of them just did one good.

Testament!

As a little kid Metallica meant the world to me. When I started discovering other metal Testament was THE thrash metal band.
I've always been more about precision than all out testosterone in my metal, but those first three albums have it both in abundance.
The Live at Eindhoven album is important to me as well. Dynamo is about a kilometer from where I live and I rehearsed there a few days ago.

Funny this thread pops up now. Two days ago I rewatched Get thrashed.
Apart from some of the talking heads I really like that film.
It always pisses me off testament isn't included in the movie. At least they start with them on the bonus feature.

Exodus has Bonded By Blood but Testament has Legacy and New Order (in my opinion) so it is Testament.

I voted Forbidden because I like them the most and I always thought they should have had far more recognition, Sadus and Lz Rockit are immediately next!

Death Angel possibly deserve a special credit for their age [at the time] very young dudes.
